A Bauhaus Apartment Reimagined

A 150 sqm old apartment in the northern suburbs, with a quiet Bauhaus DNA, was given a new life through a more open and contemporary way of living.

The main gesture was to unite the front rooms, transforming a series of separate spaces into one large, bright and continuous living area. The result is a home that feels more generous, more fluid and more connected to everyday life.

A Bright Living Core

The new open space brings together the living room, dining area and kitchen, creating a calm central core for the apartment. This sequence naturally leads to the characteristic semicircular lounge, one of the strongest architectural features of the home.

The design keeps the clarity of the original structure, while introducing warmer materials, softer textures and a more relaxed Scandinavian atmosphere. A careful balance between old and new, where the apartment’s original character remains visible, but the way of living becomes brighter, warmer and more contemporary.
